The Advisory Service aims to provide professional and objective advice and information service for all students through counselling. The counselling offers confidential support to students on any matter that causes concern, such as bereavement, relationships, anxiety and stress related to their work. About 15-20 students from each section get attached to a faculty member. Meetings are arranged every week on an informal basis. The students feel much more integrated with the Institute. Students welfare is looked after by the Wardens and Dean, Students Welfare (DSW).The DSW and faculty of the Institute relentlessly work to maintain a high level of discipline. Special arrangements are made to support Students who need special attention be it in their studies or any other personal areas. The college has a fulltime psychologist to cater to any such needs. Students who do very well in their exams are provided scholarships and are given special academic attention and facilities to help them acquire excellence.
